DIY Apple Beauty Recipes to Make This Fall

DIY apple beauty recipes

October may be known for pumpkins, but it’s actually National Apple Month. Across the country, delicious, freshly-picked apples are available for you to enjoy. In addition to being a healthy and refreshing snack, apples are also excellent for your hair, skin, and nails. They contain magic acid which helps keep your skin firm and glowing. Apples are an excellent source of skin-friendly vitamins A, C, B5, B9, minerals such as copper and antioxidants which keep your skin, hair, and nails healthy.

Vitamin C helps in formation of collagen, a protein which keeps your skin elastic and young. It also speeds up skin’s cell production and strengthens hair and nails. Copper aids in the formation of melanin which helps to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Vitamin A fights wrinkles while vitamins B5 and B9 help fight acne and prevent skin irritations.

How you can use one Toothbrush for an Entire Year

The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends replacing your toothbrush every 2-3 months – and even more often if you get sick. Their recommendation is supported by a toothbrush study that showed a new toothbrush removes up to 30% more plaque than one 3-months old. Also, your toothbrush most likely sits within a few feet of your toilet, so it’s likely catching germs and bacteria every day.

How old is your current toothbrush? If you’re not sure when you last replaced it, or if the bristles look frayed and bent, it’s probably time for a new one. Yet, with so many things to keep track of in our busy lives, it’s hard to monitor the lifespan of your toothbrush (and your significant other’s toothbrush and your children’s toothbrushes).

At ToiletTree Products, we decided there must be a simple way to remind people when it was time to change toothbrushes. Meet 13 Clean: the Toothbrush Kit that offers an easy way to keep track of toothbrush usage and clearly identifies when it’s time for a new one. The toothbrush consists of one starter brush head and 12 replacement heads. Each head is clearly marked with a month of the year. When the month changes, simply switch out the head for the current month. You no longer have to guess how old your toothbrush is because the month is clearly marked.

Inside the box

  • Toothbrush
  • Starter brush head
  • 12 brush heads with the months of the year
  • Pyramid stand
  • Toothbrush cap

When you purchase 13 Clean, it will most likely NOT be the first day of the month. For this, we have included a starter head. Use this head until you get to the 1st day of the next month. At that point, dispose of the starter head and attach the head of the month you are currently in. Problem solved! You will always have a sanitary toothbrush with bristles in good condition.

13Clean comes with a pyramid-shaped stand that serves as a toothbrush holder and stores the extra brush heads. The bristles on each head are between soft and medium firmness as recommended by dentists. Continue reading
