The Differences Between the Poseidon Oral Irrigator and the Rechargeable Oral Irrigator

Differences between the poseidon and rechargeable oral irrigators

Oral Irrigators take flossing to another level by using a pulsed stream of water to clean your gums and in-between your teeth. These at-home devices are very similar to what your dental hygienist uses during your teeth cleanings.

Irrigators are perfect for those who hate flossing. They’re gentler than string floss and won’t slice into the gum line like traditional dental floss. They also clean places where brushing and string flossing simply cannot reach and are especially effective around bridgework, braces and caps.

We are passionate about keeping your teeth and gums clean and are excited to introduce our new Poseidon Oral Irrigator. The Poseidon comes with exciting new features, so continue reading to see what’s changed – and what hasn’t – since the release of our Original Rechargeable Oral Irrigator.

The similarities:

Both versions use a pulsed water jet to effectively clean out your teeth and gums. They feature three operation modes – normal, soft and pulse – for varying oral care needs. Our Irrigators have 2-minute auto shut off timers, low noise designs, and lithium ion rechargeable batteries. Both units are waterproof for use in the shower; however, remember to never submerge your Irrigator under water! Lastly, both models sport 150ml large capacity water tanks and come with two nozzle heads. Replacement tips are interchangeable between units and can be purchased for $9.95.

Here are the differences in the Oral Irrigators:

The original Rechargeable Oral Irrigator requires you to actually plug and unplug the unit for charging every couple of weeks. Though this only adds a few seconds, we know every second counts when getting ready in the morning! The new Poseidon Oral Irrigator charges by simply being placed on the inductive charging cradle and will remain charged around the clock. You no longer have to plug and unplug the actual unit.

The faceplate has been updated on the Poseidon. The on/off button and the mode button are placed closer together on the Poseidon, making the new irrigator easier to operate.

This one may seem minor, but the electrical plugs are different sizes. The smaller white one is the Poseidon, and the larger, black plug is the Original Rechargeable Oral Irrigator. If you can’t find an outlet, the wall adapter on the Original Rechargeable Oral Irrigator can convert to a USB charger.

Finally, pricing! You can purchase the Poseidon Oral Irrigator for $49.95 and our Rechargeable Oral Irrigator for $39.95, both with free shipping.

Remember, the key to healthier teeth and gums is consistency, so use your Oral Irrigator twice a day, right after brushing.
